Chevrolet is bringing a classic back to life for the modern age with the launch of the 2019 COPO Camaro. The new 2019 COPO Camaro will only be offered in a run of 69 units to celebrate the year in which the COPO Camaro was first created, as well as the total of the original run, making it one of the most covetable and desirable vehicles of its kind on the market today.
The 2019 COPO Camaro will be powered by an LSX-based 350 engine paired with a 2.65-liter Magnuson supercharger, a 302-cubic-inch engine, or a LSX-based 427 racing engine, and it will feature a unique front-end design that helps set it apart from the conventional Camaro. It will be offered with a COPO Camaro 50th Anniversary Special Edition package that will include an orange engine block, chrome valve covers, and a black high-rise intake manifold.
“Chevrolet is proud to celebrate 50 years of the COPO Camaro legacy,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “It’s one of the most enduring legacies in drag racing, with a powerful past and fast future.”

This month, we’d like to highlight John Williams! He has been with us for 50 years – If you’re looking for a dealership with experience, we’ve got you covered! He was born and raised here in Albion, and currently resides here as well. College Chevrolet Buick is the perfect place for John to work because he sincerely enjoys meeting and interacting with different people.
When not at work, you’ll find John fishing, bowling, spending time with his grand kids, barbecuing or tinkering with antique cars. You may also find him cheering on the Detroit Tigers. His favorite television shows include Law and Order and 60 Minutes.
Currently, John drives a few different cars including a GMC 1500, Pontiac G6, and a Mercedes Kompressor. His favorite vehicle of all time is a 1966 Chevelle SS 396 (sharp!). His favorite Chevy vehicle is a Chevy Camaro and his favorite Buick is a Regal. John says that the Chevrolet Corvette matches his personality best and the worst car that he’s ever driven was a 1955 Ford because nothing worked on it, but it ran!
We would love for you to stop by and say “Hello!” to John. We’re so thankful that he has been a part of our team for so long.
