Imagine chasing down a multicolored Chevy Spark through the city, with thousands of people at your heels, while paint is being flung every which way at you. Now stop imagining, go out, and make it happen. How, you ask? The Color Run.
Just recently, Chevrolet announced a sponsorship with the Color Run. The Color Run is a series of 5K races across the country. What sets the Color Run apart is the fact that at every kilometer, a different color of paint is hurled at you, like you’re running through a gaseous rainbow.
The 5K is run in cities like Brooklyn, Nashville, Cincinnati, and Salt Lake City. Through the end of 2013, as part of the new sponsorship, a Chevy Spark will lead the pack of colorful runners as a pace car. But the Spark won’t be left out of the fun. Oh no! The Spark will transform as well. Already known for its bold color choices, the Spark will outdo itself. Starting from a white base, the car will take on a multicolor design, appearing as if paint has been splattered all over it.
To top it all off, the Color Run and Chevy will be teaming up with charities from each city as they make their way across the country. College Chevy is thrilled about the Chevrolet initiative in this project—a project devoted to giving back, to staying fit, and to having a blast. Stop on by College Chevy today and check out the all-new Chevrolet Spark (in its regular colors, of course). Maybe even take one out for a test drive—as long as you’re not covered in paint, that is!

The Chevy Cruise is known for its elegant style, its advanced technology, and its exceptional fuel efficiency. Most important to Chevrolet, however, is safety, and the Chevy Cruze delivers. It was named a 2012 Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and received a Five-Star Overall Vehicle Score in safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
But what makes the Cruze so safe? Well, for starters, it features an outstanding ten airbags. No other car in the Cruze’s class comes with more. You may be scratching your head, wondering how a car could even fit ten airbags, but rest assured, it is the intelligent design and placement of these airbags that will seriously decrease accident fatalities. The Cruze features frontal and knee airbags for both front seats, as well as side-impact seat-mounted airbags for the driver, front passengers, and outbound rear passenger seats. Also in the Cruze are roof rail head-curtain airbags, deploying inside the vehicle on the side of the collision.
In addition to the airbags, the Cruze also features roof crush resistance that goes above and beyond federal requirements, as well as a high-strength steel safety cage. Equipped with StabiliTrak, the Cruze offers traction control in the event that the driver has difficulty maneuvering the vehicle in emergency situations and in slippery road conditions. Finally, the Cruze comes with OnStar, which features an automatic crash response, getting emergency vehicles to you even faster.

You probably thought you’d seen it all when it came to what your cell phone can do. But the smartphone just got a little bit smarter with some recent technology. Chevy is stepping up its game with its new GoGo Link app, implementing smartphone technology. In a nutshell, this significantly cheaper app can entirely replace (or, in new cars, be put in place of) navigation systems. Drivers can project their smartphone navigation systems directly onto an easy-to-use, large touchscreen built into the dashboard, fully equipped with turn-by-turn voice activated directions, making smartphone navigation easier and safer.
This technology is appealing to every demographic of customer, as more and more people turn to smartphones for their ideal form of communication. Chevy’s subcompact cars—the 2013 Sonic and 2013 Spark—which hit sales floors this summer, will come equipped with the GoGo Link app. GoGo Link is making navigation safer and more affordable and, at the same time, is letting drivers use their favorite piece of technology—the smartphone. Who knows? Maybe someday in the near future the smartphone will be driving the car for us!
To see what the GoGo Link is all about, stop by College Chevrolet Buick and check it out, or watch a demonstration below. And don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the 2013 Sonic and the 2013 Spark, which will be available this summer.
