Meet one of our newest team members, David Benham! David is a new Sales Consultant and has been with us for about 2 months. Before working at College Chevrolet Buick, David spent 37 years in Education and taught at Bellevue Schools for 29 years. David is from Homer, but currently resides in Marshall.
He is a proud graduate of Michigan State University. (GO SPARTANS!) Speaking of which, David has been a MSU season ticket holder for over 30 years. When not at work you’ll catch David watching college sports or watching his daughters play volleyball. He also enjoys officiating high school basketball, baseball, and softball games. His favorite television show is currently “Moonshiners”. His all-time favorites include “Gilligan’s Island” and “The Andy Griffith Show”.
David’s dream car is the Chevrolet Tahoe because of its versatility and the ability to go off-road. He currently drives a Honda CR-V, but his favorite vehicle of all-time was his S-10 Blazer. He thinks that the Chevy Impala matches his personality best and the worst car he’s ever driven was a Ford Galaxy 500 because it was rusted and falling apart.
So far, David has enjoyed meeting people and helping them find the perfect new vehicle. We would love for you to stop by and say “Hello!” to one of our newest team members, David! He would love to help you find the perfect new vehicle!
This month, we’d like to highlight Matthew Sullivan! He is a Parts Consultant here at College Chevrolet Buick and has been a part of our team since 2006. He has been working specifically in our parts department since 2013, so he really knows his stuff! Matthew is from Homer, but currently calls Albion his home.
Matthew currently drives a 2002, but his favorite car of all time was his 1977 K5 Blazer. If he had to pick his favorite vehicle that we sell on our lot, it would be a 2017 Silverado 2500HD Duramax Diesel truck. He also believes that the Silverado matches his personality best. If Matthew could have any car in the world, he would choose a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS.
When not at work, you’ll find Matthew off-roading, watching Sprint Cup races, being a volunteer firefighter, or spending time with his family. He enjoys watching “Fast and Loud” and cheering on the Detroit Tigers.
We invite you to stop by and say “Hi!” to Matthew! He would be happy to help answer any questions you may have regarding parts for your car, truck, or SUV!
Chevy is the first automaker in the industry to develop this kind of technology, similar to the technology used in a Boeing 787. In the jet, in-flight messages can be sent to ground crews that alert them of parts that need inspection before the plane hits the ground.
OnStar Proactive alerts work similarly, by continuously monitoring the health of the starter motor, fuel pump, and 12-volt battery. If anything isn’t functioning as it should, you’ll get an alert from OnStar instructing you to take your car in for service.
Currently, this predictive technology is available to OnStar subscribers who own a 2016 Chevy Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Corvette, and Equinox.
“With Proactive Alerts, we now can offer customers even greater peace-of-mind of taking the guesswork out of when to service their vehicle,” said Steve Hollan, chief technologist for Vehicle Health Management at General Motors.
With these updates, you’ll get alerts on your vehicle’s health every time your car is started, and while you’re driving.
Now behind the wheel, you’ll be able to fix your car before you even notice something’s wrong!
As we reported a couple of months ago, the 2015 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban were making their way to dealerships across the country. We are now happy to say that these two full-size SUVs are here and have been leading the way across the entire full-size SUV market.
Both the Tahoe and Suburban have seen 100+% increases in year over year retail sales and have given Chevrolet control of the full-size SUV market. 2015 is nine months away, but the 2015 models will be popping up within the next few months. Among those new vehicles are the highly anticipated large SUVs from Chevrolet. The 2015 Chevy Tahoe and 2015 Suburban are back for what looks to be another great year. In combination with its GMC brand lineup, GM’s segment makes up about 74% of the large-SUV market share.
The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe offers drivers a rewarding drive with advanced technologies and a powerful engine. Travel in style and comfort to any destination while behind the wheel of the 2015 Tahoe which will be available soon at our dealership!
The 2015 Chevy Suburban offers everything we have come to know and love… and more! This large SUV offers a spacious interior for maximum comfort and utility. Inside the Suburban, drivers can experience innovative technologies and excellent performance features.
Along with great features, the Tahoe and Suburban have both been refined to offer better gas mileage. Models featuring the 5.3-liter V8 engine are expected to get 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway which is an increase of almost 10% from past models.
