This month’s spotlight is on our very own General Manager, Chuck Hiatt! Chuck has been an integral part of College Chevrolet Buick for 12 years now. He is originally from Logansport, IN but now resides in Albion, where he cheers on the Michigan Wolverines.
Chuck has been in the car industry for 28 years and has formed his own opinion of different models over his years of experience. Chuck currently drives a 2017 Suburban & a Buick Enclave but his favorite car that he’s ever owned was his Corvette. If he had to pick a favorite car on our lot, he would pick his very own Suburban, or a Tahoe. The Suburban is even Chuck’s dream car because of the luxury and spare space that the vehicle entails.
Aside from cars, Chuck has many other interests and hobbies that he enjoys doing in his free time. He loves hanging out with his grandkids, golfing, seeing Alabama lose, and watching the Big Bang Theory. His favorite show of all time is Hill Street Blues.
We invite you to come say “Hi!” to our General Manager, Chuck Hiatt! He loves helping customers find their perfect car and maybe our staff can help you find yours.

In a recently-compiled list, the most American-made car was determined to be the Buick Enclave. The measure was based on the percentage of parts from each vehicle that were sourced in the United States.
Though it should be said that no American vehicles contain 100% American parts, the Buick Enclave was found to contain 80% American parts (based on the 2015 model). This is made all the more impressive by the fact that US manufacturing jobs have declined dramatically in recent years.
Of course, simply because a vehicle happens to contain the highest percentage of American parts doesn’t mean it is a popular model. However, in the case of the renowned Buick Enclave, this is actually true.
Even a cursory look at the new 2017 Buick Enclave will have anyone drawing the conclusion that the latest model will increase this crossover’s reputation with the public. The 2017 Buick Enclave features available Wi-Fi hotspot, industry-first front-center airbag, and an optional Bose 10-speaker sound system.
Chrome is back, and it has never looked so good.
The revamped 2016 Buick Enclave Tuscan Edition made its debut last week at the 2015 New York Auto Show as a “more distinctive” offering of the popular Enclave crossover boasting updated styling, superior materials, and upgraded technology.
Carried by the bronze imbued 20-inch wheels, the grille prominently sports an added chrome hue. To embellish this added shade, the crossover will come in three color offerings: White Frost Tricoat, Dark Chocolate Metallic, and Ebony Twilight Metallic.
Available only in two trims—Leather (1SL) and Premium (1SN)—standard features include a power-operated dual moon-roof, a heated steering wheel, OnStar with 4G LTE and built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, as well as a powered lift-gate and tri-zone automatic climate control. Powering the newest Enclave crossover is a 3.6-liter V6 capable of 288 horsepower mated to a six-speed automatic transmission; customers having the choice between front- or all-wheel-drive capabilities.
“Buick’s quality, refinement and style continues to attract more customers and this modern resurgence started with Enclave,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. “It was a pioneer for three-row luxury crossovers and remains one of the segment’s most popular. The new Tuscan Edition celebrates Enclave’s achievement and rewards owners with a higher level of distinction.”
Coming to showrooms this fall, be sure to see the newest Tuscan Edition at College Chevrolet Buick and get your order in soon.
As drivers, we have become accustomed to the luxuries and comforts of new vehicles. Power windows, OnStar, and air conditioning are features we have become very familiar with during the last 20 years along with countless others. For the 2015 model year, Buick is adding rearview camera to its long list of standard features!
Rear view cameras are relatively new to the auto industry, but ever since their debut they have been increasingly popular. Karl Brauer, Senior Analyst for Kelley Blue Book says “While they’re not standard on every car, yet, it’s rare to operate a new vehicle without them. The increased confidence these cameras provide make them a must-have feature.”
As you can see, Buick is committed to providing a safe driving experience. The Encore (all-wheel drive), Enclave, LaCrosse, Verano and Regal have all been awarded a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety by the NHTSA. Every Buick model comes standard with OnStar telematics system for 6-months.

We at College Chevrolet Buick have some good news that will put a quick end to your research and get you behind the wheel of your new vehicle: Three Buick models earned Kelley Blue Book’s 5-Year Cost to Own Award for 2014.
The 2014 Buick Verano was named the least expensive car to own for the entry-level luxury car segment. The Encore earned the award for the luxury compact SUV/crossover category, and the Enclave won among competitors in the luxury full-size SUV/crossover class.
“Buick puts the customer first, not only offering a great portfolio of vehicles, but maintaining quality and dependability long after the vehicle is purchased,” said Tony DiSalle, Buick’s vice president of marketing.
Kelley Blue Book calculates cost to own values taking into account depreciation as well as recurring expenses like gas, insurance, and financing fees.
