It’s that time of year again — the time to make some New Year’s resolutions! If you want to focus on making your vehicle cleaner or staying on top of its health, the following are some of the easiest goals you can set for your vehicle in 2019.
Wash and polish
Be sure you clean your car regularly, inside and out. Exterior car washes help protect your car’s finish, as does polishing it afterwards. Be sure to keep the inside clean by vacuuming seats regularly and wiping down your dashboard and other surfaces.
Practice good driving habits
Make a vow to be gentler on your car this year. Practice good driving habits, such as gradually accelerating from stop lights instead of ramming the gas pedal and coasting into a full stop instead of slamming on the brakes. These steps will help prolong your vehicle’s life and reduce wear and tear overall.
Make regular maintenance visits
Regular maintenance is essential in prolonging the life of your vehicle. Don’t skip out on a maintenance visit simply because you think your car is “fine.” Our service department at College Chevrolet Buick can help you with all of your routine visits. You can find a suggested timeline of maintenance in your vehicle’s owner’s manual.
Check your tires
Check your tires in the upcoming year — regularly. Be sure that your vehicle’s tire pressure is always optimum, and regularly check for signs of extensive wear and tear. While newer tires can last much longer, you’ll still want to make sure that they’re holding up. If not, we’ll help you swap them out for new tires!
