Buick Enclave Is the Most American-Made Car

In a recently-compiled list, the most American-made car was determined to be the Buick Enclave. The measure was based on the percentage of parts from each vehicle that were sourced in the United States.

Though it should be said that no American vehicles contain 100% American parts, the Buick Enclave was found to contain 80% American parts (based on the 2015 model). This is made all the more impressive by the fact that US manufacturing jobs have declined dramatically in recent years.

Of course, simply because a vehicle happens to contain the highest percentage of American parts doesn’t mean it is a popular model. However, in the case of the renowned Buick Enclave, this is actually true.

Even a cursory look at the new 2017 Buick Enclave will have anyone drawing the conclusion that the latest model will increase this crossover’s reputation with the public. The 2017 Buick Enclave features available Wi-Fi hotspot, industry-first front-center airbag, and an optional Bose 10-speaker sound system.

Chevy Marketing Stirs Up Screams with New Horror Trailers

Chevy marketing is reaching a new audience base by creating trailers that are running before movies in theaters.

The current 60-second trailer will strike a chord with fans of classic horror movies. Created by acclaimed director Sam Raimi, the trailer has an ominous feel with suspenseful music. In it, the character is constantly on the verge of danger. There are spooky ghosts, creaking stairs, and unnatural lighting under doors.

Usually in a horror movie, the audience can often see pitfalls that the character misses but cannot do anything to stop the bad things from happening. In the trailer, the character starts to open a door that will most likely lead to trouble when the audience yells, “Stop!” The theatergoers tell the character to leave and warn her of the inevitable threat.

The idea behind the trailer is that it is helpful to have warnings before bad things happen. In this case, the fictional character does not open the door and successfully leaves the creepy mansion. Then, the trailer switches to the advanced warning system on the Chevrolet Malibu and Cruze.

Advanced warnings when driving are extremely helpful in staying safe. We at College Chevrolet Buick are proud to offer these Chevy vehicles that help the driver stay extra safe. For more information on the Malibu and Cruze’s advanced warning systems, visit us and we’ll show you how you’ll stay safer with Chevy’s latest technology.

The Big Difference: Chevy’s G80 Locking Rear Differential

When it comes to staying on the road, Chevy’s G80 locking rear differential is the big difference in all of the brand’s trucks—and it’s been around for a lot longer than you think!

The G80 locking axle has been a staple in Chevy’s truck lineup for more than 40 years and has proved year in and year out that it will keep you safe on the road. No matter what the weather condition or terrain you’re traveling through, Chevy trucks will get the job done.

The G80 technology reacts automatically when one wheel starts to spin, allowing both rear wheels to move at the same speed, ensuring maximum traction on the road.

Jeff Luke, executive chief engineer said, “The G80 locking axle provides a greater traction advantage than limited-slip differentials in most situations, while its automatic engagement requires no driver involvement, unlike some competitors’ electronic lockers, which require driver activation.”

Encouraging Safe Driving Habits: the Chevy Teen Driver System

Teen DrivingOffering parents a way to encourage their kids to drive safely, Chevrolet recently developed the Teen Driver System. This advanced program keeps track of driving habits, limits access to the radio, and much more. The Teen Driver System is aiming at making it easy for new drivers to learn how to be safe.

According to Chevy, the system will premiere in the 2016 Malibu. The Chevy Teen Driver System will mute audio from the car’s speakers, limit options if front seat occupants aren’t buckled up, and provide warnings when a vehicle is travelling faster than it should.

“We developed this system so parents could use it as a teaching tool with their kids–they can discuss and reinforce safe driving habits,” said General Motors safety engineer MaryAnn Beebe. “As a mother of two, I know anything that has the potential of keeping one’s family safer is of great value to parents.”

The new system will also allow people to see various figures on their driving habits. These include distance driven, maximum speed, and anytime a safety alert goes off, including speed limit options. This new option is perfect for any new driver, and we can’t wait to offer it at College Chevrolet Buick.

2015 Chevy Colorado

Do you know you want a truck with technology and stuff? Chevrolet knows you do. At least, that’s what the American carmaker claims in a brand new series of web videos that advertise the appeal of the all-new Chevrolet Colorado midsize truck.

Each spot takes place in a separate place and features real people in focus groups, online dating, and the Health and Beauty aisle of a supermarket, reinforcing what it really means to be a “Truck Guy.”

“The films are centered around the idea that there is an inner truck guy in everyone,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. Vice President of Chevrolet Marketing. “The game-changing Chevrolet Colorado will enable people to unleash their inner truckness.”

With a variety of advanced technology and other “stuff,” including class-leading power, towing, and fuel economy, there’s no denying that the Chevrolet Colorado is a great truck choice. So, do you want a truck with technology and stuff? Stop in to College Chevrolet Buick and test-drive the Colorado—we think you’ll definitely figure out you’re a truck guy.

Rearview Camera

2014 Buick LaCrosse – Available at College Chevrolet Buick

As drivers, we have become accustomed to the luxuries and comforts of new vehicles. Power windows, OnStar, and air conditioning are features we have become very familiar with during the last 20 years along with countless others. For the 2015 model year, Buick is adding rearview camera to its long list of standard features!

Rear view cameras are relatively new to the auto industry, but ever since their debut they have been increasingly popular. Karl Brauer, Senior Analyst for Kelley Blue Book says “While they’re not standard on every car, yet, it’s rare to operate a new vehicle without them. The increased confidence these cameras provide make them a must-have feature.”

As you can see, Buick is committed to providing a safe driving experience. The Encore (all-wheel drive), Enclave, LaCrosse, Verano and Regal have all been awarded a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety by the NHTSA. Every Buick model comes standard with OnStar telematics system for 6-months.

2014 Chevrolet Malibu

The 2014 model year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Chevy Malibu. The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu packs lots of new features for the new year. This new model will be available and ready for test drives at local dealerships within the next few months. So, what’s new for the 2014 model year?

First is the impressive Stop/Start technology. This futuristic technology will stop the engine when the car makes a complete stop and then start itself back up when the driver releases the brake pedal. This will help with fuel economy and emissions by not wasting gasoline while waiting for the light to change from red to green.

Next is the MyLink System which will actually allow drivers to send and receive text messages via audio system. This new technology will read received text messages through the speakers of the Chevy Malibu and then allow for drivers to reply by speaking. This will help keep drivers focused on the road instead of on their phones. The goal of this technology is to help lower the amount of texting-while-driving accidents which have been on the rise over the past few years.

Other features available on the various trim levels of the Chevrolet Malibu include: touchscreen display, leather upholstery, optional 2.0-liter turbo charged engine, 18” alloy wheels, and SiriusXM Radio capabilities.
