• Who Was J.D. Power’s Most Awarded Brand in 2017? Chevrolet

    2018 Chevrolet Traverse

The experts at J.D. Power are dedicated to cutting through the fat and determining the tops in the automotive industry year after year. The measure of an auto brand’s abilities to deliver for its customers can be easily determined based on the number of honors it earns from J.D. Power in a given year. By this standard, no other brand was better in 2017 than Chevrolet, which took home a total of nine awards in J.D. Power’s 2017 Vehicle Dependability (VDS); Initial Quality (IQS); and Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) Studies.

“Chevrolet is winning with consumers because our designers, engineers, and dealers are focused on delivering great products and a great ownership experience,” said Alan Batey, president of GM North America and brand chief of Global Chevrolet. “This recognition from J.D. Power shows Chevrolet’s strength and underscores the momentum we have across the board.”

Last year, six different Chevrolet vehicles earned J.D. Power awards, which measure “the automotive brands that are continually exceeding customer expectations and leading the way in terms of dependability, quality and overall customer satisfaction.” The Chevrolet Sonic and Silverado HD topped their respective segments in the VDS and IQS, and the Chevrolet Tahoe was tops in the VDS and APEAL Study.

The Chevrolet Camaro also earned top honors in the VDS, the Silverado 1500 topped the full-size pickup segment in the IQS, and the all-new Chevrolet Bolt EV earned the award for its segment in the APEAL Study. Chevrolet also scored big-time in the 2018 J.D. Power Customer Service Index (CSI) Study and 2017 Sales Satisfaction Index Study, which measure customer satisfaction with the brand’s services and experiences.

We’re proud to represent J.D. Power’s most awarded brand, and we’re excited to show you first-hand why Chevrolet earned that very prestigious title. Stop in for a test drive at College Chevrolet Buick and feel the difference that award-winning quality makes.

In the latest J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, Buick was ranked as the fifth most reliable brand in the country, a flat improvement from last year and placing the automaker far ahead of other American luxury brands like Lincoln.

J.D. Power’s 2014 study tracks 2011 model year vehicles in the third year of ownership, ensuring that it doesn’t inappropriately jump to conclusions about the reliability of more modern vehicles. The Buick Lucerne took the lead for the fourth consecutive year in the Large Car segment while the Buick LaCrosse came in 2nd in the Midsize Car category.

“Buick customers today cite their top reasons for purchase as overall quality, exterior style, and value,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick marketing. “Retaining a focus on quality is at the core of every model we bring to market.”

Chevrolet also had a great showing with the Volt taking the win in the Compact Car segment and the Camaro doing the same in the Midsize Sporty Car segment. Come find all of these vehicles at College Chevy Buick!
