    What’s Kevin Weighman’s Story?

    Kevin Weighman - Service Manager

Kevin Weighman is our Service Manager here at College Chevrolet Buick. The service department at our dealership is a large part of our business and we are very lucky to have Kevin running the show with our service customers. He is very knowledgable in the automotive industry with 18 years of experience and 9 years of experience at our dealership.

Kevin is originally from Jackson, MI but now resides in Albion where he enjoys watching and going to sports games, especially his Michigan State Spartans. If Kevin isn’t at or watching a game, you’ll find him hanging out with his children and girlfriend. His favorite TV show at the moment is “House of Cards”, but nothing will compare to his all time favorite, “Deadliest Catch”. What's Your Story

When looking more at the vehicle aspect of his life, Kevin is definitely a truck guy. He currently drives a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado but his favorite car that he’s ever owned was his 2012 2500 HD Duramax. The majority of Kevin’s favorite cars are ones that we have right on our lot, just like his dream car, the Silverado 3500 HD Duramax.

Whether it’s time for a service visit or you need some work done on your car, come say “Hi!” to our very own Kevin Weighman. Nothing is too difficult for our team and Kevin says that watching the technicians work together to solve difficult problems is what makes working at College Chevrolet Buick so great!

  • Employee Spotlight: Ben Snyder

    Ben Snyder
    Ben Snyder

Ben Snyder is the Internet Manager here at College Chevrolet Buick and a graduate of Kalamazoo College. He’s been with us for almost a year and has been working in the auto industry for 5 years. Ben was born in Aurora, Colorado but was raised right here in Albion.

Ben’s all-time dream car is the Batmobile, because well, who wouldn’t want to drive the Batmobile? He currently drives a Buick LaCrosse and a Chevy Equinox. His favorite car (which also happens to be the worst car he’s ever driven) was his ’91 Chevy Cavalier. The trunk leaked, the roof was caved in, the windshield was cracked, the brakes were soft, and it smelled terrible, but it was Ben’s introduction to freedom! Ben’s favorite Chevy vehicle is the upcoming 50th Anniversary 2017 Chevy Camaro. He says that if he were a car, he would be a 2016 Chevy Silverado High Country. Ben says he’s large and in charge on the outside, but comfortable and thoughtful on the inside – much like the truck!

When not hard at work as our Internet Manager, Ben enjoys spending time with his kids. He has a 2-year-old and a 9-year old that love to play with Play-Doh and Legos. He also enjoys watching Michigan sports (GO BLUE!) and also enjoys Game of Thrones.

His favorite part about working here at College Chevrolet Buick is the people. He thinks we have the best staff around (which we do!) and the customers make it fun to come into work every day! Stop by our dealership and say “Hello” to our teammate Ben the next time you’re out and about!

  • It’s What You’ve Been Waiting for: The 2014 Chevy Silverado

For months and months, Chevrolet has been dishing out tidbits of information about the new Silverado. We knew that it would have a redesigned exterior, new powerful V8 engines and a brand new 4.3 L V6 option, an upgrade console and dashboard, but we didn’t really know anything until we got to see the 2014 Silverado unveiled live on Facebook this week.

With an entrance that is usually reserved for professional wrestling, we got our first peek at the new Silverado. The exterior has bolder, cleaner curves and edges and a powerful frame that builds on the 95 years of Chevy trucks.

The addition of three new EcoTec3 engines gives the Silverado more power and improved fuel efficiency.

Perhaps the most drastic change is the upright instrument panel, six gauge instrument cluster and host of storage compartments in the redesigned interior.

Helen Emsley, Silverado design director had this to say, “Changes to the exterior of the 2014 Silverado can be described as evolutionary, but the updates to the interior are dramatic. The meticulous attention to detail and the steps we took to ensure optimal driver and passenger comfort and convenience, are reflected in the fact that the new interiors rated off the charts in customer clinics.”

College Chevrolet Buick is thrilled with the way the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado turned out and we can’t wait to see it on our showroom floor next year. For more information on the 2014 Silverado visit www.chevrolet.com or call 517-629-2151.
