    August Sales
    2014 Buick Encore

Buick has been on a winning streak lately and we’re sure it’s because of its new diverse lineup! Buick isn’t just a brand for the older generation. The brand as a whole has reinvented itself to be younger and more fun while maintaining a bit of its classic feel. We’re happy to announce that Buick had its best sales month of 2014 and the team here at College Chevrolet Buick is proud to contribute.

The winners for the month included both the Regal and the Encore. The Regal has become a top choice for those looking for performance and sophistication while the Encore is a great choice for those who love the feel of an SUV without all of the bulkiness. The Ragal’s sales grew an astounding 35% year-over-year while the Encore experienced an 11% gain over last year. Another winner for the month of August was the Enclave, which recently became available in its 2015 edition. Families everywhere are enjoying the Enclave’s extra interior space and family-friendly features.

  • Rearview Camera: Standard on your New Buick

    Rearview Camera
2014 Buick LaCrosse – Available at College Chevrolet Buick

As drivers, we have become accustomed to the luxuries and comforts of new vehicles. Power windows, OnStar, and air conditioning are features we have become very familiar with during the last 20 years along with countless others. For the 2015 model year, Buick is adding rearview camera to its long list of standard features!

Rear view cameras are relatively new to the auto industry, but ever since their debut they have been increasingly popular. Karl Brauer, Senior Analyst for Kelley Blue Book says “While they’re not standard on every car, yet, it’s rare to operate a new vehicle without them. The increased confidence these cameras provide make them a must-have feature.”

As you can see, Buick is committed to providing a safe driving experience. The Encore (all-wheel drive), Enclave, LaCrosse, Verano and Regal have all been awarded a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety by the NHTSA. Every Buick model comes standard with OnStar telematics system for 6-months.

If you would like to learn more about the Buick lineup, stop by our dealership located near Battle Creek, Michigan. • GM Executives Tease “Possible” Buick Flagship

While GM has been busy working on a Cadillac flagship sedan—most likely to be called the LTS, a name recently trademarked by GM—they might also be preparing a flagship vehicle for the Buick brand. Mark Reuss, President of GM for North America, first teased the idea in a recent interview with Forbes. Reuss discussed how GM could close gaps in their overall automobile lineup; when the idea of a Buick flagship surfaced, he hinted that it could be “a much more beautiful Panamera.”

While CEO Dan Akerson wants to be careful that a Buick flagship doesn’t step on the toes of the Cadillac brand’s resurgence, even he admitted that Buick could “probably” use a new flagship. Reuss, for his part, told Auto News that “something special for Buick, I think, is really needed for the next phase of where that brand is going.”

Regardless of if and when Buick might add a flagship to its lineup, one thing remains clear: GM continues its commitment to strengthening Buick’s status as a powerful global brand. With a strong lineup of products like the Encore and Regal in North America—and sister vehicles like the Opel Mekka in Europe—Buick is well positioned to continue its brand resurgence. Come in to College Chevrolet Buick today and test drive one of the Buicks in our inventory today.

  • Buick Records Best October Sales Since 2003

October marked Buick’s 18th consecutive month of increased U.S. retail sales, bringing the brand ever-closer to a two-year streak of success. Retail sales were at a 25% year-over-year gain—a record since 2003—and total sales were at a 31% gain—a record since 2004.

The Buick Regal continued its trend of increasing sales by posting a 47% total increase year-over-year, showing that the model is not only an established member of the sports luxury vehicle market but also a strong competitor among the likes of BMW and Mercedes. A refreshed version of the 2014 Regal will begin arriving this month here at College Chevrolet Buick.

The all-new Encore not only sold over 3,000 units this month but also racked up several awards, including “Highest Ranked Subcompact CUV,” in J.D. Power’s Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study, “Highest Ranked Subcompact CUV in Initial Quality (in a tie),” and a 2013 Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Also fresh on our lot is the redesigned 2014 LaCrosse, the Regal’s less sporty but more luxurious counterpart. With its large suite of premium features and its fourth consecutive Consumer Guide Automotive Best Buy award, we are positive that like the rest of Buick’s lineup, the LaCrosse will be a hit among any and all luxury vehicle aficionados.

  • 2013 Buick Encore Ranks Highest in APEAL

It is not a typo; APEAL stands for Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout, and it is an annual study conducted by the automotive research juggernaut, J.D. Power and Associates.
The APEAL Study was not coincidentally named.  It aims to see just how appealing a car is to drive, and the 2013 Buick Encore ranked highest in its segment after also recently being recognized by J.D. Power as the “Highest Ranked Sub-Compact CUV in Initial Quality.”

“Recognizing the Encore demonstrates the effort and attention to detail given by our engineers and designers,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick Marketing, in a press release. “This award reinforces our focus on putting the customer at the center of everything we do.”

J.D. Power does not hand out APEAL Awards without first doing its homework.  The APEAL Study is based on responses submitted by more than 83,000 drivers on just how gratifying their new vehicle is to own 90 days after their purchase.
