Employee Spotlight – Brian Eberhard

Brian EberhardThis month, we’d like to showcase Brian, our Bodyshop Manager. To say that he knows his way around cars would be a complete understatement. Brian has been working here at College Chevrolet Buick for almost 2 years and has spent 25 years in the industry. Currently, Brian lives in Battle Creek which also happens to be his hometown.

When not at work, you can find Brian working in his own garage or spending time with his family. He enjoys watching Saturday morning cartoons and thoroughly enjoys taking care of animals.

Currently, he’s the proud owner of a Chevy Tracker but his favorite vehicle is the Buick Enclave. Brian says that a 2017 Chevy Crew Cab truck would match his personality best because life begins where the blacktop ends! His 1979 Bronco is his favorite vehicle that he’s ever owned. He loves working here at College Chevrolet Buick because he is really glad to help make a difference in people’s lives whether it’s a customer or a co-worker.

If you are in need of some body work on your vehicle, be sure to keep us in mind. Brian and the rest of the team here at College Chevy would be happy to assist you!

Welcome Brian Eberhard!

Brian Eberhard

Meet Brian – Our New Body Shop Manager!

All of us at College Chevrolet Buick would like to welcome Brian Eberhard, our new Body Shop Manager, to our team! Brian brings tons of experience to the position, having worked in parts departments and body shops for over two decades.

Before working at College, Brian worked at another Chevrolet dealership for 20 years. While there, he worked in the parts department for 18 years and then moved to the body shop as a Production Supervisor. Brian then moved to Kansas for 6 months to be with his family and took on the role of Production Supervisor at another body shop. With all of his experience, we knew he would be the perfect fit for the Body Shop Manager position here at College Chevy!

Born and raised in Battle Creek, Brian is very familiar with the Albion area. He has quickly found a place within our team, and he didn’t waste any time establishing a great rapport with his associates and making new friends.

Brian is a family man, so when he’s not hard at work, he likes to spend time with his family.  He also enjoys working on various projects around the house. One of the biggest reasons we knew Brian was perfect for the job was that, just like us, he loves vehicles!  His dream car is a truck—a 4×4 Chevrolet Crew Cab.  He figures that it would be the ideal vehicle for doing weekend mud runs, a favorite pastime of his.

So far, Brian’s favorite part of his new job is getting to know everyone.  From there, his goal is to take the body shop at College Chevrolet Buick to “the next level” and help the business grow. We are happy that Brian joined our team and look forward to his success in the future! Please join us in welcoming Brian to our team!

2012 Chevy Camaro Newest Member of 11 Second Club

For Camaro engineers and owners speed is and has always been the name of the game. The powerful 2012 Camaro ZL1, however, takes speed to another level. At the dragway in Milan, MI the Camaro ZL1 hauled off the line and posted a time of 11.93 seconds for the quarter-mile.

Take a peek a the video to learn a bit more about that record breaking Camaro.

It’s not uncommon for Chevrolet to take the Camaro to dragways and test out the Camaro’s muscle. The 2012 Camaro hit the Bondurant drag strip in Arizona and posted a more than respectable time, clocking in the 12 second range. This time Chevrolet went all out and was able to drop the time 11.93 second for the automatic transmission and 11.96 seconds for manual.

However, the Chevy Camaro is more than straight line speed and brute strength. It can turn corners, brake, and accelerate too. Heading across the big pond to Nürburgring, the guys at Chevrolet rolled out the Camaro for the undeniably tough road course. This course is standard for sports cars. Turning in a time of 7 minutes, 41 seconds, the Chevy Camaro performed on par with vehicles like the Porsche 911 Turbo S, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, and Ferrari 430 Scuderia.

Another milestone down for the Chevy Camaro and I can only imagine that the engineers at Chevrolet are already thinking of ways to make the Camaro faster, quicker, better handling, more fuel efficient, safer, and so much more.

Artistic First: The Chevy Sonic

The Chevy Sonic is known for its many firsts. First vehicle to kick flip and first to bungee jump. Well here’s another one to add to the list. The Sonic teams up with amazing street artist, Jeff Soto and a brick wall and what comes next is a masterpiece. Soto breaks down how the collaboration between man and machine worked to create this imagery. You can expect more first from the Sonic, because we’re sure this is just the beginning.
