Along with sweeping National Car and Truck of the Year (NACTOY), Chevrolet has also swept Best Car and Truck of 2014 from one of the top auto authorities, Cars.com. These awards were presented to Chevrolet at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) this week.

Alan Batey, GM’s Senior VP of Global Chevrolet says “Winning these awards is a huge honor for Chevrolet. The face that the top vehicle in both these categories is a Chevrolet speaks volumes about the strength of our entire portfolio.”

Chevrolet really shined this year with a redesigned Silverado. Cars.com noted its great chassis strength, refreshed and redesigned interior, and an upgrade to MyLink infotainment system. Cars.com noted that the Impala broke out of its rental car/fleet vehicle feel for the 2014 model year. They admired the new styling and impressive features that the Impala had to offer.

The redesigned Impala is the tenth generation of the flagship Chevy sedan. This full-sized beauty has been a part of the Chevrolet family since 1957.

We’ve talked about several of the new features in the 2014 Impala, like the latest version of Chevy MyLink with a customizable eight-inch color display. MyLink on the Impala will also have new features like natural voice recognition and the privacy feature “valet mode”.

“The all-new Impala demonstrates the new direction of Chevrolet,” stated president and managing director of GM Canada, Kevin Williams. “Our employees in Oshawa have executed a flawless plan in bringing this iconic nameplate to life. The newly redesigned Impala will exceed customers’ expectations because of the hard work of our employees at Oshawa Assembly.”
