• Chevy Raises $2.7M for Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation

Chevrolet auctioned off the final seventh-generation Corvette — a handsome black Z06 — earlier this year at the Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. The gavel banged at a record-breaking final total of $2.7 million, which is all the more impressive considering that all the proceeds will given to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation builds smart homes for injured service members and pays their mortgages, helping ensure a better life after sacrificing so much for their countries. The foundation also pays off the mortgages of families of first responders killed in the service of others. To date, Tunnel to Towers has 85 homes built or in the process of construction.

“This is going to vibrate across America,” said Frank Siller, chairman and CEO of the Stephen Siller Foundation. “This donation will build at least five homes for our catastrophically-injured veterans to give them their independence and a better quality of life.”

Over the past five years, General Motors and Chevrolet have helped raise more than $10 million for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. In 2018, $2.2 million was raised, including $925,000 earned in the auction of the first 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 off the production line.
