GM has announced the Chevy Colorado Z71 Trail Boss edition, an off-roading machine capable of tackling the toughest trails. The Trail Boss edition puts the Z71’s off-road suspension package to good use and adds an array of additional performance and appearance features, making the Trail Boss capable in the country and sophisticated in the city.
The Trail Boss edition is available in just about any Z71 configuration, including extended or crew cab, long and short cargo beds, and in two- or four-wheel-drive.
“The Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Trail Boss Edition is equally at home blazing an urban trail or following one to a favorite remote campground,” Tony Johnson, the Colorado’s marketing manager, said in a news release. “It gives owners the gear-carrying ability and versatility they need to venture off-road, with segment-leading efficiency and capability.”
The Z71 Trail Boss edition comes with aggressive all-terrain tires, 17-inch dark argent metallic painted cast-aluminum wheels, black fender flares, GearOn™ cargo tie-down rings, black Chevy bowtie logos, and a load bar with cargo divider.
Additional features include a G80 automatic locking rear differential, front recovery hooks, spray-on bedliner, front fog lamps, three-inch round rocker steps, transfer case shield (for 4WD), projector beam headlights, and all-weather floor mats.
