Arron has been working in the automotive industry for over 12 years and has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Michigan State (GO SPARTANS!). Being an engineer, he tends to notice the quality and technology and pays attention to how things are put together. He says that attention to detail is his key to success!

When it comes to vehicles, his dream car would be a Lotus Exige. He has always loved Lotus cars because they are a super car that is hand-made in Ann Arbor. He currently drives an Infiniti G35x, but his favorite car of all-time was his modified ’94 Honda Accord. Of the new vehicles we have on our lot, his favorites include the Buick Regal and the Chevrolet Malibu 2.0T Premier. He says that the car that best-matches his personality is a Land Rover Evoque. The worst car he’s ever driven is a KIA.

When not at work, you’ll find Arron spending time with his 7-year-old daugther, cooking, traveling, watching sports, and doing art projects. His favorite sports teams include the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Red Wings, and of course the MSU Spartans. His favorite TV show is “Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” but he enjoys all classic shows that make him laugh.

Arron’s favorite part of the job is being able to accompany and assist guests that are in need. He enjoys offering advice and loves to watch people leave happy with a smile. If you are in the market for a new car, Arron would be more than happy to assist you! He will help you choose the perfect new car!

His dream car is a 1967 Mustang GT 500 (Eleanor). His favorite Chevrolet vehicle is a 2017 Chevy Corvette Z06 (we can’t disagree on that!) If he had to choose a car that best fit his personality, he would choose a 2018 Chevy 2500 Duramax. His favorite vehicle he’s ever owned is a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396. His favorite new vehicle on our lot is the Chevy Camaro or the Buick Regal. • Best Luxury Brand: Buick Beats Out Established Favorites in New Consumer Reports

Here at College Chevrolet Buick, we’ve always known just how capable and elegant our Buick vehicles were. Now, thanks to a recent Consumer Reports article—and a renewed marketing campaign—the rest of the world is finally starting to catch up. In fact, CR even recommends that you forget about those more established luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes-Benz in favor of a Buick. Basically, a Buick brings you all the style and performance of those other brands without the fancy price tag.

    Best Luxury Brand
    2014 Buick Regal

Specifically, CR recommends the Buick Regal over basically any other luxury sedan: “Regal beat the Volvo S60 in a head-to-head road test. Ultimately, the Regal wound up finishing just one point shy of the class-leading BMW 328i and tied the Mercedes-Benz C250 for second place in the organization’s overall ratings of upscale sport sedans—while costing thousands less.”

The Buick Regal Premium runs on a 2.0L, four-cylinder turbocharged engine, sports front-wheel-drive technology, looks sexy as hell, seats five people, and even manages to get 30 mpg on top of that. If Buick keeps making vehicles this good, it will continue to climb up the luxury car ranks for many years to come. But for today, just come see us at College Chevy Buick to check out the lineup for yourself.

  • Buick Experienced Great June Sales

Last week, Buick reported that they experienced the best June they have had since 2006. Maybe it’s because of the brand’s fresh look? Maybe it’s because of their attention to detail? Or maybe it’s because of Buick’s commitment to customer service? Whatever it is, the team here at College Chevrolet Buick is proud to be a part of it!

The brand increased a whopping 18% compared to June of 2013. Retail sales alone increased 12% year over year making last month its best in retail sales since 2005. The Buick brand is making a new impression among drivers. The completely redesigned Regal isn’t what it used to be, it’s much better! This sedan alone experienced a 26% total year over year sales increase which marks its ninth straight month of year over year gains.

  • Rearview Camera: Standard on your New Buick

    Rearview Camera
2014 Buick LaCrosse – Available at College Chevrolet Buick

As drivers, we have become accustomed to the luxuries and comforts of new vehicles. Power windows, OnStar, and air conditioning are features we have become very familiar with during the last 20 years along with countless others. For the 2015 model year, Buick is adding rearview camera to its long list of standard features!

Rear view cameras are relatively new to the auto industry, but ever since their debut they have been increasingly popular. Karl Brauer, Senior Analyst for Kelley Blue Book says “While they’re not standard on every car, yet, it’s rare to operate a new vehicle without them. The increased confidence these cameras provide make them a must-have feature.”

As you can see, Buick is committed to providing a safe driving experience. The Encore (all-wheel drive), Enclave, LaCrosse, Verano and Regal have all been awarded a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for safety by the NHTSA. Every Buick model comes standard with OnStar telematics system for 6-months.

If you would like to learn more about the Buick lineup, stop by our dealership located near Battle Creek, Michigan. • Buick to Offer 4G LTE

    Buick to Offer 4G LTE
    Current Buick Encore

A few months ago, Chevrolet announced ago that they would be including 4G LTE abilities to some models for the 2015 model year. At the DENT Conference in Idaho, Buick announced that they too would be offering 4G LTE. With this new technology, drivers will be able to turn their car into a mobile hotspot allowing internet surfing and web browsing from inside the vehicle.

4G LTE will be available through OnStar and will require a subscription and data plan, although prices have not yet been determined. The hotspot will be able to allow up to seven devices to connect simultaneously giving each of your passengers internet access from their own devices. Along with internet, this new addition will offer in-dash app integration and also connect you to your vehicle diagnostics.

For the 2015 model year, the LaCrosse, Regal, Verano, and Encore are said to have LTE capabilities and all 2016 Buick models will include the new feature.

What do you think about GM offering 4G LTE on their new models? Will you turn your car into a mobile hot spot? Let us know in the comment section below and be sure to stop by College Chevy when the 2015s start rolling in!

  • GM Executives Tease “Possible” Buick Flagship

While GM has been busy working on a Cadillac flagship sedan—most likely to be called the LTS, a name recently trademarked by GM—they might also be preparing a flagship vehicle for the Buick brand. Mark Reuss, President of GM for North America, first teased the idea in a recent interview with Forbes. Reuss discussed how GM could close gaps in their overall automobile lineup; when the idea of a Buick flagship surfaced, he hinted that it could be “a much more beautiful Panamera.”

While CEO Dan Akerson wants to be careful that a Buick flagship doesn’t step on the toes of the Cadillac brand’s resurgence, even he admitted that Buick could “probably” use a new flagship. Reuss, for his part, told Auto News that “something special for Buick, I think, is really needed for the next phase of where that brand is going.”

Regardless of if and when Buick might add a flagship to its lineup, one thing remains clear: GM continues its commitment to strengthening Buick’s status as a powerful global brand. With a strong lineup of products like the Encore and Regal in North America—and sister vehicles like the Opel Mekka in Europe—Buick is well positioned to continue its brand resurgence. Come in to College Chevrolet Buick today and test drive one of the Buicks in our inventory today.
