If you’ve been on the fence about whether or not to drive electric, now is the time to hop over completely. The Chevy Volt is back and better than ever for the 2013 model year. Here are just a few reasons we at College Chevy Buick think you should give the Volt a chance:
Electric Range: With the 2013 Volt, you’ll get an all-electric range of 38 miles. That’s up 3 from last year.
Total Range: After the Volt’s battery is depleted, the Volt will switch over to the 1.4-liter gas range extender which powers a generator to provide energy to an electric motor (good for 149 hp), which brings the total range up to 380 miles.
Efficiency: The 2013 Volt received an incredibly high EPA rating of 98 MPGe. The previous model received a rating of 94.
Battery Power: The batter pack for the 2013 Volt has been bumped up ever so slightly. Now, instead of 16 kilowatt-hours of energy, the Volt’s battery can hold 16.5. That might not sound like much, but it means that the Volt can draw on 10.6 kWh instead of 10.3.
Need more convincing? Stop by College Chevy Buick today, and we’ll be happy to show you just how shockingly awesome the Volt truly is!
